The Area
Our little cottage is uniquely located in a former sanctuary for nuns.
It provides you with all the modern comforts in a unique and serene atmosphere.
The Cottage's street (rue des Saules exit) brings you directly to the heart of Montmartre
as you pass by Lapin Agile Bar-Cabaret,
a subject of one of Picasso's most famous paintings, and the unique Montmartre vineyard.
At the street's end, you will be by Sacre Coeur Basilica,
the crowning glory at the top of Montmartre. It provides the most spectacular view in all of Paris.
Location
Line 12 of the metro brings you directly to Pigalle and the Moulin Rouge,
Concorde and its fantastic gardens, St-Germain-des-Pres and its writers,
Montparnasse and its artists. See us on a map.
True Montmartrians, however, use their feet to go around the districts.
This is a perfect way to enjoy the unique architecture of the area: stairs
with antique lights, wooden houses, centuries old boutiques and more.

Bedroom 1: Queen Bed
The main living area has a view to the garden which is private and only belongs to this apartment.
It makes it very convenient to prepare a meal and bring it outside to eat at the patio table.
There is a small sofa that can sleep a young child, if necessary. Alternatively,
we can set up a portable baby bed.
This area has the stereo system whereas the television is in the bedroom.
Although the space is small in the kitchen, there are many amenities that are available.
The counter top can be used as an eating, serving or food preparation service.
There are plenty of grocery stores in the area (the closest is at the bottom of the street)
plus a wonderful fresh market that is open everyday apart from Mondays.
There is also a "boulangerie", a pharmacy and a "laverie" at the bottom of the street.
If you feel like eating out, there are two good, inexpensive French restaurant on the street
as well as a Chinese take away and a Portuguese restaurant.
We tried to think of all of the comforts that we would like if we were renting the apartment.
Unlimited internet access is provided to you via a permanent cable connection.
Although we have a telephone, it is not always easy to connect with friends and family at
home when you have a 6 hour time difference from New York or a 9 hour time difference from San Francisco.
If you do not subscribe to an e-mail address that you can access from outside of your
home or office, we can set one up for you to use while you are on vacation.
The telephone has an automatic voice message system so people can leave you messages in complete privacy.
Finally, a very important (and comfortable) feature is our double bed. It is truly a pleasure to sleep a few extra hours away in this bed!
There is a bookcase in the bedroom as well as a television set.
The window in the bedroom, like the one in the living room, opens onto the garden.
Don't be surprised if the only thing you hear are the cooing of birds or the rustle they make when they fly through the trees.
