This lovely one-bedroom apartment can sleep up to 3 people and is located a block from the Saint-Sulpice Church in the quartier Notre Dame des Champs, another church in the area. The street was created in 1547 and went by a few different names until it kept its current one. Rue Madame takes its name from Marie-Joséphine de Savoie, Princess of Sardinia, who was called "Madame" because she was the wife of "Monsieur", the brother of King Louis XVI. The decoration of the apartment is probably one that Madame Savoie would have approved of.
When you walk into the apartment, there is a foyer with a storage closet to your left, the toilet immediately to your right, followed by the kitchen and then the main living area, directly in front of you. The bedroom is off the salon and you must walk through it to access the shower.
We think you will love preparing food in this extra-large kitchen as it's fully equipped with anything you would need. The combination washing machine is located in this room and you can see the additional amenities above.
The "double-séjour" has the dining area to your left with a large table to seat up to eight and the salon to your right. The sofa can accommodate one person should you have a visitor. The corner balcony in this part of the room fills with sunlight. When you water the plants, please note that it can only be done before 8h00 or after 18h00 as there is a business below.
In addition to the cable TV, there is also a Sonos sound system so you can play your own music within the apartment as there is more than one speaker. The lovely fireplace is decorative only and we request you refrain from using it, for safety reasons.
Behind mirrored doors, is the bedroom with the very spacious shower just off of it. The details throughout this room will make you feel like a princess when you wake up each morning in this double-sized bed.
The chandeliers throughout the apartment are very fitting with the style that the owners worked hard to achieve. All are antiques and not modern reproductions.
When exploring the neighbourhood, you will see that you are just minutes from the expansive Luxembourg Gardens - a favourite of visitors and locals. There are also plenty of shops and boutiques on the street and in the immediate area. Le Bon Marché and it's famous food shop is only around a 10-12 minute walk from the apartment. Even closer to you is the Saint-Germain Marché (food market), just after Saint-Sulpice.
Once you stay in this apartment and the area, you may never want to leave!
