This one-bedroom apartment in Paris close to Palais Royal, Opera, Musee d'Orsay and the Louvre puts you right in the centre of the city. Luxury, aesthetics and comfort were the main order of the day when the owners entirely renovated the flat with luxurious decor. Perfect for either a couple or a family of four there is sleeping in two queen size beds. The first is in the bedroom which has access to the bathroom. The second is in the living room in the form of a queen-size sofa bed with a very thick mattress.
A round, dining table conveniently tucks itself into the main desk and is easy to pull out at mealtimes. The bathroom can be accessed from the living room via the kitchen or directly from the bedroom - the bathroom has 2 sliding doors that can be locked giving either party the chance to use it in peace. It has a large walk-in shower plus a sink with a vanity. The WC has its own space and is off the flat's hallway from the living room. It has two spaces - one for the sink with a large vanity mirror and the other for the WC. A row of closets in this area gives the guests staying in the living room plenty of storage. The combination washer/dryer is in the closet closest to the bathroom.
The living room also contains a closet to the left of the sofa. The main bedroom has a row of closets plus a guest safe. The galley-style kitchen has a fast convection stovetop, microwave/oven, fridge, separate freezer, Nespresso machine and dishwasher. There are also smaller appliances like an electric kettle, toaster and electric coffee filter. TV watching is easy with a large screen in the living room (which has cable) and another TV in the bedroom (basic channels only). Free Wireless fibre optic internet is provided throughout the apartment.
The apartment is off of Rue St Anne, known for its many Japanese restaurants where you will often see long queues forming at lunchtime. There is a charming "Passage St Anne" leading to the "Passage Choiseuil" nearby - this is a bright gallery (thanks to its entirely glass roof) with many independent shops, cafes, jewellery stores and art galleries. You can also reach the Theatre des Bouffes Parisiens from the passage. The Musee du Louvre is a 10-minute walk from the flat.
On your way there, you can stop by the Palais Royal and visit the sculptures of the Cour d'honneur, take a walk in the gardens and browse the antiques for sale in the many galleries. Or you could fork left and east before reaching the Louvre to visit Les Halles (shopping, shopping, shopping) which has been completely transformed with fantastic views of the surrounding architecture and then keep going to reach the old Marais area or opt to visit the Cathedral of Notre Dame on the Ile de la Cite.
From the Louvre, you could continue down the rue de Rivoli and visit Concorde then keep walking to the Champs Elysees. Or go straight over the river and reach St Germain des Pres. Closer to the apartment and about a 12-minute walk away, are the Galeries Lafayette and Printemps. The area lets you visit much of Paris on foot so you hardly need to take a metro or bus.
